Day three of the Virgin Kitesurf World Cup in Spain is over with only 1 heat still complete. The organisers aren't to stressed though as the forecast is very solid with a Levante Wind due to build throughout the week.

The decision was made today to move the event right in front of the town where the wind will be stronger and provide more suitable conditions to run the event. Certainly this is great news for the big air discipline as this is the famous big air spot (watch Ruben Len10 jumping the rock pier here) As for freestyle it will be stronger and offer flatter water but with the added risk of landing into closing kickers. Timing will be everything. Tarifa is the kitesurfing capital of Europe if not the world and on a busy day you will see 1000 + kites up in the air. More news as the event continues, Big Air looks set to run on Wednesday or Thursday....
