The Worthing Birdman has become a very important date in my dairy. It is held in my home town on it's famous Pier, the one I walked on as a child and the one I flew over some years back. Together with my childhood idol from the radio (Dave Hunt) I commentated the action from the platform high up, as one by one the different classes attempt to fly as far as possible. I love to use my wind and wing knowledge to add another dimension to the day.

It was an amazing weekend of flights and for the 2nd year in a row the jackpot distance was achieved. 100 meters & £10,000! Well done Tony Hughes it was definitely your year. There were some fantastic costumes and plenty of money raised for good causes. Thousands of people lined the beach and the only thing they missed was my kitesurfing display that I usually perform. It was the first time in 3 years that conditions didn't allow. Oh well there is always next year!
